Three seconds to make an impression

Humans have the attention span of a goldfish.

At this point, I’m sure I’m not telling you anything that you didn’t already know.

From ads to tv shows to podcasts and gadgets, there are too many things demanding our attention.

So, how can you expect your visitor to pay attention to your webpage?

Your homepage needs to pull your visitor in only 3 seconds. To be able to do this, it should state clearly:

  • Who you are
  • What you do
  • Who you help
  • How do you do it

And most importantly how to buy from you.

Your branding: colors, typography, logo, and brand elements play an essential part in communicating who you serve.

If the fonts you use are too whacky, it’ll be hard to think of you as a premium brand. If your colors are too corporate, your brand might not communicate innovation.
